Since receiving her first Barbie doll with mix and match outfits, Teana has always wanted to pursue her passion in the fashion merchandising, design and marketing industries. Her family and friends urged her to stay in New York to ensure a better chance at her future. Taking a huge leap of faith, Teana decided to head south to the sandy beaches, palm trees, and warm winters that Florida had to offer. 16 years later, Teana is the Founder and CEO of The InStyle Diva Inc.
After receiving a Bachelors Degree in Marketing , Teana began working at various retail and cosmetic stores such as DKNY, Barney's New York and Origins to pursue her career in personal shopping, image consulting, and accessory design. In addition to teaching high school, and working in the corporate environment for several years. Her desire and passion gave birth to The InStyle Diva Inc in 2006. Throughout the years, Teana has gained a number of clients who trust and appreciate her services. The InStyle Diva Inc. offers a unique experience on fashion, accessories, life and beauty. “We aspire to understand your needs, change your relationship with fashion, and leave you feeling DIVALICIOUS!”
In early 2009, Teana gave birth to her daughter Elise and the company My Little Diva Accessories. Being a serial entrepreneur and a mom of 2, solving for a need is in her blood. No matter how many different shades of pink baby Elise wore, strangers still said, "He is so cute." Determined not to have one more person call her daughter a little boy, Teana launched My Little Diva Accessories, “Where every princess needs an accessory of their own.”
Teana is on a mission to provide quality products and services to professional women and their little diva’s. She has a strong spirit and loves to get involved and give back to the community. Teana has donated to a number of charities and local organizations such as, Miami Children’s Hospital, Dayton’s Children’s Hospital, Plantation Junior Women’s’ Club, Autism Speaks and the Art and Culture Center of Hollywood. Having a prominent presence in her community is what forces her to succeed.
Teana has a Masters Degree in e-Commerce and over 14 years of experience with personal style to help women understand how to feel fashionably comfortable in their own skin. She is a member of the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) which provides her with the tools for running a successful business in addition to learning from flourishing women business owners that are experts in their field.
